No. Curious tier accepts everyone. We pay full base rates regardless of follower count — we care about who actually converts, not vanity metrics. A creator with 5K followers and 30 conversions outranks a 50K-follower account with zero conversions every time.
How do I get to higher tiers?
Either (1) verified follower thresholds with proven track record, or (2) pure conversion count — 5+ for Established, 15+ for Pro, 50+ for Elite. We re-evaluate every 30 days based on either your social growth or actual paid referrals. Performance paths always outrank pure-vanity paths.
What's the difference between Personal and Business referrals?
Personal Sarai ($20-30/mo): individuals who use Sarai as their daily AI companion via iMessage. Productivity, wellness, lifestyle audiences fit best. Sarai Business ($99-299/mo): owners of any business that handles appointments, no-shows, or marketing — salons, gyms, clinics, dentists, real estate, contractors, healthcare, you name it. Higher commission and signup bonus reflect the higher LTV.
What does "active referral" mean?
A converted referral on a paid plan in good standing for 3+ consecutive months. Used for tier qualification + retention bonuses. Three months of retention means we know they actually use the product, not just signed up to test.
When and how do I get paid?
Monthly via Stripe Connect once it's live (currently manual via Wise / PayPal / check). Minimum $25 payout threshold; balances roll over. Signup bonuses fire 30 days after the referral starts paying — that's the clawback window. Cancel within 30 days = bonus reversed.
Why are commission rates flat across all tiers?
Honest economics. Stacking lifetime commission % with conversion bonuses with longer payout windows at every tier creates dangerous compounding liability. Every previously-known affiliate program that went bankrupt did this. Our model: flat rates everyone, bounded caps per referral, and tiers reward you with status, access, and resources (free Business plan, co-marketing budget, equity, etc.) — things that are harder to copy than a higher commission %.
Can I be in multiple affiliate programs?
Yes — no exclusivity required. Top creators run 5-10 programs. We just want you to honestly recommend Sarai to the audiences who actually need it.
What if I refer myself or my own business?
Self-referrals not eligible. We auto-detect (same chat_id, same IP, same payment method) and decline. If you own a business, use Sarai as a customer — just not via your own affiliate link.
What about equity at the Elite tier?
0.05% options grant. 1-year cliff + 4-year monthly vest, standard tech equity terms. To qualify, you must maintain Elite tier status for 12 consecutive months before the first vesting tranche begins. Documented in your Elite agreement, no ambiguity.
